OFF TO LONDON WE GO!

We woke up way earlier than our alarm clock this morning and decided to just get on with our day!  And that meant pack, walk to the tram, tram to the train station, and train back to Brussels!

Once we arrived in Brussels we went to the Eurostar office to see if we could get our ticket to London changed for an earlier departure. NO GO!  We were told the earlier train was FULL!

So, we found Bernie’s for a gourmet lunch (not!) and sat back to wait!

After lunch we went to sit in the Eurostar area when we were approached about getting on an earlier train!  AWESOME!  We went through security and passport control and found our gate er, rather our platform.

We took the fast Eurostar train through the Chunnel to London!  Flight time, er, rather, train time was an about an hour and a half!  It was an amazing (and very comfortable) ride!  Good bye waffles; hello fish and chips!

We had high hopes of beating Patte, Mike and Michael to London when we got a text saying they had arrived!

Do you know what I REALLY liked about this photo when I took it?  BLUE SKIES!  We were almost to London and we saw nothing but blue skies!  (How was that even possible?)

We arrived at the beauuutiful train station in London,

and Michael met us right outside!  He graciously pulled my luggage along and led us right to our Airbnb!  (I just LOVE that boy!)  Michael purchased a ticket to see The Producers and, after catching up with Patte and Mike, we hit the streets to find somewhere for a proper dinner!

We chose well as the beer was really really GOOD!

And all of our meals were great!  Mike was especially pleased with his proper fish and chips and mashed peas!

                                                                    Good Night, London!
