WIMBLEDON, WINSTON CHURCHILL’S WAR ROOM, BUCKINGHAM PALACE!
Up early once again and off to the train station with the final destination of WIMBLEDON! The walk from the train station to Wimbledon was through a delightful town called Southfields. We arrived and, even though none of us were avid tennis fans, our excitement was real. Our tour guide was exceptional and soooo enthusiastic and knowledgeable about tennis and Wimbledon! Preparations were being made with THOUSANDS of plants arriving to be planted and potted and placed all around with the goal of making the grounds look like an English Garden. Wimbledon’s history was an amazing story; the grounds were absolutely beautiful; and you can bet that the Murry’s and the Diedam’s will be watching the upcoming Wimbledon’ tennis tournaments! After the tour we ate lunch in the quaint town at yet another English pub with delicious food and then ventured back to the train station!
