Well, we were not lucky with the whole “Three In A Row” thing this morning! The skies were not blue and the sun was not shining bright. But we knew what would make the day get off to the right start—breakfast out!
We walked and walked (and walked) after eating, trying as we may to locate a bus stop to pick up and finish the bus tour we started yesterday.
We finally decided to Uber it and found out there was a stop less than a block from our Airbnb! (This day was going to be interesting!) But we made it at long last and sat on the top deck for the tour,
only to find ourselves back downstairs due to the rain coming down. (Another reminder that we were, indeed, in Ireland!)
We stopped for coffee and a bathroom break while the boys located the directions for getting to the Jameson Distillery!
Close by was the Brazen Head, the PERFECT place to have lunch before our distillery tour! (Food in our bellies was a MUST to soak up what was about to happen!)
The Brazen Head, the oldest pub in Ireland, was absolutely a must see in Dublin!
It was quaint, the brewskis were great,
and the hot wings were lip smacking GOOD! All four of us claimed them to be the very BEST wings we had ever eaten! (Sorry, Hooters! 🤪)
The door beside our table was a testament to the age of said pub!
Every nook and cranny of the bar was so cool!
With our bellies full, it was time to take on the Jameson Distillery!
The tour was really, really well done! If you are thinking right now that all we have done on this trip is eat and drink….you would be correct!!!
Grafton Street was pegged as the largest shopping area in Dublin. It did not disappoint! There were people everywhere (and it was a Monday afternoon)! We love, love, LOVE these bustling areas!
Patte spotted a McDonald’s (way down the street) and was a Happy Camper when a Diet Coke was finally in her hands!
Buskers were on every street corner, filling the air with all kinds of wonderful sounds. And the sun came out at long last! Yea!
After walking all around the area, would you believe it was time for dinner? No worries, it was a very light dinner, accompanied by Old Fashions for these two!
It was another great day in Dublin! We were home early to begin getting organized for another train ride tomorrow morning! Next up: Galway, Ireland!
Good Night, Dublin!
That is a very old looking door in the pub. It might be older than the door at Westminster Abbey!
